Oji Fibre Solutions is investing about 100-million-dollars in its cardboard box plant development, which will produce sustainable packaging products for South Island primary produce sectors.
Packaging chief operating officer Grant Fitzgibbon says the new facility will replace the existing Shands Road operation with a purpose-build, building, state of the art box-making and more automation.
He says the development puts the company in a strong position for growth of the South Island primary sector.
