    The key witness in a shocking Dunedin murder trial is about to take the stand


    32-year-old Doctor Venod Skantha's trial is now entering its second week.

    Skantha's charged with murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush.

    Last week the Court heard details of the brutal wounds that killed her - and learned of a potential blackmail plot involving Amber-Rose and her mother.

    It was also revealed her boyfriend at the time was at her home within minutes of her death.

    The witness appearing this morning has name suppression because of their age.
