    A kayaker missing off Great Barrier Island overnight has been found alive


    The Police Maritime Unit and Coastguard had resumed their search for the woman from first light.

    The alarm was raised after the woman's kayak was found at Port Abercrombie.

    Police confirmed the woman was found at Port Abercombie this morning having made it back to shore, after being separated from her kayak and paddle.
