A High Court Judge warns a sexual abuse conviction doesn't mean a witness murdered a teen girl

Venod Skantha is on trial in the High Court - charged with murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush.
But defence lawyer Jonathan Eaton QC suggests the Crown's young witness killed her.
He says the teen has repeatedly lied to police - such as in an interview in 2017.
In that interview the teen promised to tell the truth - but claimed neither he or his older friend had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.
He now admits that was not the case.
Justice Gerald Nation reminded the jury this is evidence of the teen lying to police.
He says it doesn't mean he's responsible for Amber-Rose's death.
