Auckland's historic trams are set to resume service at Wynyard Quarter this summer

Auckland's historic trams are set to resume service at Wynyard Quarter this summer

Auckland Council has advertised for an operator to run the service on a 1.5 kilometre circular track around the city hotspot.

It follows a decision by the council last year to reinstate the route until the America's Cup in 2021, at a cost of 1.8 million dollars.

It will then review the project's future.
