A mass power outage has brought much of Northland to a complete standstill this morning

Electricity is now gradually being restored to more than 90,000 homes - but Northpower warns some customers may have to wait.
The area above Bream Bay was blacked out about 9.30 this morning, due to a fault on Transpower's national grid.
Reporter Danica MacLean is in Whangarei and says people are still affected.
She says the Council's telling people to conserve water and avoid flushing the toilet - because the water and sewerage systems both rely on power.
