Milton Haig was never going to sit around and wait for a possible All Blacks coaching opportunity

Milton Haig was never going to sit around and wait for a possible All Blacks coaching opportunity

And he isn't surprised others have followed suit.

The former Georgian coach joined Japanese club Suntory on a two season deal after the rugby World Cup.

Since then, fellow-contenders Dave Rennie and Jamie Joseph have signed on with rival nations.

Ian Foster and Scott Robertson appear to be the front runners to replace Steve Hansen, with interviews to take place next week.

Haig says the process of trying to find the right coach quickly isn't that available anymore.
