Wild weather continues to batter the country - with extreme winds taking a toll in the capital

Bus and train cancellations are likely in Wellington - with wind hitting a-hundred kilometres an hour, and toppled trees and some power outages.
Elsewhere in the country, a group of people have been rescued unhurt after being trapped in a car by a falling tree near Hamilton airport.
And in Auckland - motorists are being advised to take care crossing the Harbour Bridge - with strong gusts hitting the structure.
