Former Wallaby Israel Folau has settled his legal dispute with Rugby Australia

Former Wallaby Israel Folau has settled his legal dispute with Rugby Australia

They've released a joint statement saying they've reached an agreement, settling for a confidential amount.

The 30-year-old was seeking 14 million-dollars in damages for wrongful termination of his contract after a controversial anti-gay social media post.

Rugby Australia and NSW Rugby says they do not agree with the content of Folau's media post - but accepts he did not intend to hurt or harm the game of rugby.

Folau says he does not condone discrimination of any kind ... but says the post reflected his genuine religious beliefs.
