House-buying conditions are expected to stay reasonable through to mid-2020

House-buying conditions are expected to stay reasonable through to mid-2020

ASB's third quarter housing confidence survey shows confidence is back to average levels, and buyer sentiment is at a seven-year high.

Chief economist Nick Tuffley says house prices are estimated to increase about six per cent over the next year.

He says there's optimism in the housing market with pricing and low interest rates, which are expected to stay low for a while longer.
