Jennifer Lopez has praised an "amazing" fan who asked an airline pilot to make an announcement urging every passenger to watch her movie 'Hustlers' on a flight

It was announced on Monday (09.12.19) that Lopez had been nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture prize at the Golden Globes for her performance as stripper Ramona Vega in the film and J.Lo super-fan Joseph Longo wanted to celebrate in grand style

Joseph tweeted JetBlue before he went on a flight from New York to Los Angeles, writing: "In honour of JLOs #GoldenGlobes nomination this morning, I WILL make sure everyone watches Hustlers on this flight. (sic)"

He added: "Hey @JetBlue, there are definitely Oscar voters on this NY to LA flight. Please let me make an announcement! (sic)"

Joseph then uploaded a video during the flight, where the pilot is heard detailing "a special request from one of our customers, Mr. Joseph Lungo".

The pilot said: "He's a well-known back-up dancer for Jennifer Lopez, and as of this morning, Jennifer Lopez was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in 'Hustlers'.

"'Hustlers' is one of our in-flight movie options. We'd greatly appreciate it if you join us in supporting Ms. Lopez and watch Hustlers on our flight today. Thank you for your support, and we hope Jennifer wins that Oscar."

Whilst Longo clarified that he actually referred to himself as 'The Backup J.Lo', the 'On The Floor' hitmaker was impressed with Joseph's efforts.

Taking to Twitter, she messaged him to say: "This is amazing!!!!!!! You can be my backup dancer any day. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT! (sic)"

The 50-year-old actress-and-singer posted a heartfelt message on Twitter after learning that she had been nominated for a Golden Globe. It is her second nomination, as she was up for Best Actress for 'Selena' in 1998.

She said: "Hi guys, I'm just waking up and I just heard that I got nominated for Best Supporting Actress for a Golden Globe.

"Oh my god, it's been 20 years since I was nominated for Selena. I just want to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this incredible honour, I am humbled and so excited to be recognised for this role as Ramona in Hustlers."
