The deaths of several dogs and cattle in Northland have prompted changes to 1080 use

The deaths of several dogs and cattle in Northland have prompted changes to 1080 use

Three dogs and two cows were fatally poisoned in two separate pest control operations.

Northland Regional Council's deputy C-E-O Bruce Howse says they'll be implementing a detailed project plan, a risk assessment, and peer review.

He says it was an unfortunate series of events and the lessons learned will be incorporated into future operations using 1080.
