A report's revealed the impacts of climate change are already being felt in Wellington

NIWA's updated its 2017 report on the region's climate change extremes and implications.

It says there'll be increasingly warmer days, more drought driven by extreme heat waves and more frequent downpours.

Temperature trends show that in Wellington and Masterton warm night-time extreme temperatures have increased and cold extremes decreased.
