A man shot by police yesterday at a Hastings school was carrying a fake gun

The 31-year-old is still in hospital, in a stable condition.

Police say he'll be formally charged this afternoon under the Arms Act.

They say the man threatened a staff member at Flaxmere Primary... on his third visit to the school yesterday.

A scene examination was completed at the school last night... and police will be interviewing witnesses today.
