The Food and Grocery Council's not having a bar of the Northland DHB's opinion on food packaging

The DHB wants junk food to have plain packaging, to help reduce its appeal.

Council CEO Katherine Rich says packaging plays a big role in food products.

She says it would be horrible to gift a box of chocolates without any colour or artwork.

Rich says treat foods are to be eaten in moderation - because they are not meals.
