The hosts chased down 195 with Aces opener Martin Guptill unbeaten on 83 from 52 balls and partner Colin Munro dismissed for 68 from 35.
Guptill relished the surface.
Canterbury opener Chad Bowes top-scored with 90 from 42 balls, his highest T20 score.
The Aces are third on the table while the Kings drop to last after Northern Districts chased 162 to beat Wellington by five wickets - spinner Ish Sodhi took three wickets for 12 runs from his four overs.
In the women's competition... the Blaze remain unbeaten after seven rounds following a 79-run win over the Spirit.
Sophie Devine made 112 from 54 balls in Wellington's 201 for five.
