A huge cannabis bust has raised concerns about another drug
8 January 2020
Police have revealed they uncovered a major cannabis growing operation at a rural Fielding property on January 2.
Just over 11 hundred cannabis plants, methamphetamine and 800 thousand dollars was seized.
Former drug squad detective Tony Bouchier says when cannabis isn't available, people are often given an alternative - like methamphetamine.
He says if cannabis was legalised - it would isolate methamphetamine and make it easier to investigate.
