A National MP visiting Australia, says they should set up a climate change commission too

Taranaki-King Country MP Barbara Kuriger is leading the New Zealand delegation to the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum in Canberra.
She says New Zealand's commission takes the fraught issue out of the halls of parliament... leaving it up to a group of qualified people who can separate the science and the spin.
Julia Gillard's Labor government set up an independent climate commission in Australia in 2011 but it was abolished two years later by Liberal successor Tony Abbott.
