    23-times Grand Slam winner Serena Williams and defending champion Naomi Osaka have notched straight set wins to open their Australian Open campaigns


    Williams has dispatched young Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-love 6-3, while Osaka has beaten Czech Marie Bouzkova 6-2 6-4.

    Men's 13th seed Denis Shapovalov has been upset by Hungary's Marton Fucsovics , losing in four sets.

    Novak Djokovic kicks off his defence in the men's singles against German Jan Lennard Struff tonight.



    The San Francisco 49ers are heading to the Super Bowl for the first time in seven years.

    They've beaten the Green Bay Packers 37-20 in the NFL's NFC Championship game in San Francisco.

    The 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, after they beat the Tennessee Titans 35-24 in the AFC Championship game.
