Long waiting lists and sub-standard health care could become a reality at general practices and medical centres across the country

A recent survey by the Nurses Organisation has found 70 percent of respondents are considering leaving the sector because of higher pay elsewhere - such as at services run by DHBs.
Kerikeri GP Chris Reid says the lack of pay parity is affecting staff numbers.
He says patients are already waiting longer to see a doctor which isn't helped by the growing complexity of cases they're seeing.
