More Nelson reserves are being closed in response to the hot, dry weather

The Nelson City Council has already closed six reserves and is adding nine to that list.

This comes after taking advice from Fire and Emergency and monitoring the Build Up index which indicates how difficult it would be to put out a fire in the current conditions.

The situation will be assessed weekly.
