A Napier man who sold black market paua has been fined nearly 28-thousand dollars

Giancarlo Harold D'Esposito, owner of Hawke's Bay Seafoods appeared in the Napier District Court today after admitting to selling the illegal seafood.
Ministry for Primary Industries Manager of Compliance Investigations, Gerry Anderson says he sold 11-hundred and 40 kilograms of paua - that's well over a tonne - valued at 24-thousand dollars.
