    One person has died after a truck and car crash near Palmerston North last night


    Police were called to the intersection of Napier Road and James Line, at Whakarongo just before one in the morning.

    The road was closed for a time while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene.

    Investigations are continuing and the death will be referred to the Coroner.
