Plans to curb the speed of e-scooters on footpaths

The Government's outlined proposals to keep pedestrians safe.
It's considering a 15 kilometre-per-hour speed limit, and restricting the width of transport devices on footpaths.
E-scooters could be allowed to use cycle lanes, and bicycles could be allowed on footpaths.
To keep people safe on roads, a minimum overtaking gap's being proposed for motorists passing the likes of horse riders, bicycles, e-scooters.
