The Warriors will set-up camp in the Gold Coast

The Warriors will set-up camp in the Gold Coast

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The team will not return to New Zealand following the weekend's loss to the Knights in Newcastle.

The NRL club was set to return to New Zealand this afternoon, meaning they would have arrived inside the travel restriction imposed by the government from midnight.

But Warriors CEO Cameron George says had they come home they may have effectively been removed from the competition.

Centre Pita Hiku and Patrick Herbert will return to New Zealand for family reasons.

NRL CEO Todd Greenberg will give further updates on how the competition will continue to run at midday.
