    One person's been arrested after a carjacking in Christchurch


    Police were called just after eight - to reports a vehicle had hit several parked cars on Addington's Wrights Road.

    A spokesperson says the driver then fled in another vehicle.

    The white Hyundai was stopped by a police car in St Albans.

    Police say nobody's been hurt - either in collisions or when the car was snatched. .

    A 29-year-old's been taken into custody - police say they're still determining what charges to lay.

    Newstalk ZB listener John says he was taking his daughter to school when the driver came tearing by.
