In a statement, the telecommunications company says the peak traffic last night reached 2.75 terabits per second - comfortably within available headroom.
The last time the network traffic peak exceeded 2.6 terabits per second was during last year's rugby World Cup.
Chorus adds there's no congestion on the network, with traffic levels expected to reach a steady state, as new behaviours settle during the lockdown.
