Police are asking for help identifying a woman who witnessed an incident in Hastings yesterday

7 April 2020

Eastern District police were reminding people gathered in the ASB bank carpark on Queen Street East about 1pm about the social distancing rules.

One person yelled and threatened police.

They say they'd like to hear from a woman who walked past.

People can call 06 873 0500.

The man was arrested and faces assault charges.

He will appear in the Hastings District Court today.
