The idea of scrapping the opening two rounds of NRL competition points has been effectively scrapped, a day after it was floated

Wayne Pearce, who is helming the return-to-playing project, says his preference is to retain all competition points accrued.
The concept was pushed in order to more easily move teams into two conferences for the resumption of play.
