Students at Victoria University are outraged, after being told to pay 150 dollars a week for unoccupied rooms

Last night, the University informed students living on campus housing, that they would have to pay a placeholder fee from Wednesday for their rooms.
However, most tertiary education is still expected to continue online at alert level three - meaning students will be paying for a room they can't live in.
In a statement, Victoria University says the decision was made after it incurred costs of more than two million dollars in its accommodation services.
