The bank has released its half year results to the end of March - announcing a statutory net profit of 367 million, a decrease of 183 million dollars.
During March and April BNZ says it assisted over 21 thousand customers with new and restructured home lending to the value of 10 billion.
CEO Angela Mentis says they've also helped tens of thousands of business customers though a combination of their support measures and the Business Finance Guarantee Scheme with the Government.
