Calls from the business community for the Government to invest in what New Zealand really needs for the future

With venture capital mostly dried up - struggling startups are turning to Government subsidies to stay afloat.

But Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck says artificially inflating markets never ends well.

He says instead, the Government should be looking at big investments like infrastructure.

Beck says we should be looking at what we need in the long-term - rather than short-term solutions.
