Retail spending plummeted during lock down - as non-essential businesses temporarily closed their doors

A Statistics NZ report shows spending across the country has fallen more than two point six billion dollars.
Retail statistics manager, Kathy Hicks, says the fall is equivalent to each person in the country spending about 520 dollars less in April than they did in March.
