Spare a thought for trampers whose world has been very small lately

That world is about to open up in Level 2, but tramping excursions will still be confined to day trips in local areas and their bubbles will remain small.
Christchurch Tramping Club president Chris McGimpsey says the club's 250 members are looking forward to extending their walks beyond neighbourhoods.
He says they're truly desperate for a tramp.
McGimpsey says they will stick to foothill walks at Mt Summers, Mt Thomas and Porters Pass.
