14 May 2020
Last month, the Prime Minister announced all Ministers would take a 20 percent pay cut for six months.
Many mayors and councillors also volunteered to earn less because of Covid-19.
That becomes official today when legislation will be introduced to Parliament to change the Remuneration Authority Act.
Other officials - including the Ombudsman, Chief Censor and Retirement Commissioner will also have their pay docked.
