A High Court judge has reserved a decision on whether to grant NZME an injunction as it continues attempts to buy rival media outlet Stuff

A High Court judge has reserved a decision on whether to grant NZME an injunction as it continues attempts to buy rival media outlet Stuff

The owner of Newstalk ZB and the NZ Herald has applied to the Auckland High Court for an interim injunction against Nine Entertainment - Stuff's parent company - to enforce exclusive takeover negotiations.

Justice Sarah Katz has reserved a decision until Monday.

The hearing follows an exchange of statements earlier this week after NZME filed an urgent Commerce Commission application to purchase Stuff for a nominal sum of one dollar.

Nine Entertainment says the parties had withdrawn from the bid last week and terminated talks.
