    A person has been taken to hospital after a serious house fire in Christchurch last night


    Emergency services were called to Strathfield Ave in Dallington just after 9pm, where a three car garage was on fire.

    Fire and Emergency shift manager, Brent Dunn, says the person is being treated for smoke inhalation and is in a moderate condition.

    The cause of the fire isn't known and will be investigated today.
