There are concerns about a lack of room on buses, as students return to school today

Dedicated school buses are allowed to fill all seats, except the four closest to the driver.

On public transport, the same rules apply, however they also need to allow for one metre social distancing.

Principal of Rangitoto College in Auckland, Patrick Gale, says they are worried not all their students will make it to school.

He says they've asked all parents whose children travel by bus to have a "Plan B" in place.
