Students are soon to be back in classrooms across the country, as schools reopen today

Schools and early childhood education centres can open their doors to all students - after nearly two months of learning from home.

They will need to have public safety measures in place.

Rangitoto College Principal Patrick Gale says they are able to operate safely.

He says the large school site means they can spread students out at break times and lunch.

They also have measures in place around the queues at their tuck shops.
