WorkSafe has filed charges after a worker was poisoned by chemicals at a Christchurch warehouse

The worker was hospitalised after the incident in Bromley, in May last year.

The charges fall under health and safety, and hazardous substances regulations and were filed at the Christchurch District Court yesterday

WorkSafe says it is unable to provide any further information because charges have been laid.

Nor would it name the company as any party could yet apply for name suppression at the first court hearing.
