Manurewa MP Louisa Wall has withdrawn her nomination for the South Auckland seat

It comes after disagreement over the nomination process.

Wall says she doesn't want the issue to become an unwelcome distraction for the Labour Party and the Government... at a time when efforts need to be on rebuilding the country and economy.

She says her time will be spent campaigning across the Maori electorate seats, as well as vying for a position on the Labour Party list.

Wall says she will also continue to champion issues around LGBT rights on behalf of Labour.
