The Cancer Society says it's becoming increasingly challenging for New Zealand to reach its Smokefree 2025 goal

Today is World Smokefree Day and the society says it's time to rethink how that goal can be achieved.
Advocacy and wellbeing manager Shayne Nahu says we're simply not on track.
He says it's not easy - but the big thing is having the political will to make it happen.
Nahu says one of the best ways to become smoke free is to restrict sales of cigarettes, so they're only available at specialist R18 tobacco shops.
