New figures show how Auckland public transport is struggling in the wake of COVID-19

Daily bus usage is about a hundred thousand trips down on before the lockdown.
Train trips have halved... and ferry trips slashed by more than three quarters.
AT Metro's General Manager Stacey van der Putten isn't worried about public transport failing to recover.
She says it's a matter of time... and will depend on people becoming more confident and the alert levels changing.
Van der Putten says the numbers are on the rise... and in line with their expectations.
