A large amount of lollies, chocolates and baked goods infused with the Class B drug were seized during a search warrant in Hamilton last week.
Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley says it was part of Operation Casper, which looked into the production and distribution of cannabis edibles sold online.
He says the investigation identified the alias "Dolly's Edibles" selling the products on Facebook and Instagram.
Pitkethley says many of the edibles looked like normal confectionery, and the use of social media allows people of all ages to easily obtain the products.
He says the psychoactive effects - whether the consumer is familiar with cannabis or not - could produce extreme results.
A 27-year-old woman has been charged with a number of drug offences.
