17 June 2020
The 32-year-old woman from Laingholm pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced yesterday.
When staff questioned the woman on a train during the Level 4 lockdown at which time only essential travel was permitted on public transport - she became abusive and spat at them.
Mayor Phil Goff says she should count herself lucky the sentence wasn't more severe.
