Kiwi doubles pro Artem Sitak is dismayed the US Open is going ahead in September with a reduced doubles draw

The USTA has announced the doubles draw will be halved from 64 teams to 32 meaning Sitak who is ranked 76th will miss out on the ability to earn prize money and more importantly ranking points.

Meanwhile Hikurangi meet Horokoau in the final of the New Zealand Tennis Premier League at Albany from three this afternoon.
