Two people have died in a house fire in Christchurch overnight

Two people have died in a house fire in Christchurch overnight

Emergency services received multiple calls about the fire on Vivian Street in Burwood just before 10.45 last night.

Three fire crews arrived to find the home well involved in flames.

Fire and Emergency says two people have died, but couldn't confirm their ages.

One fire crew has remained at the scene overnight to monitor for hot spots, and a fire investigator is due at the scene this morning.
