Drivers in Southland and Otago are being warned to take it easy on icy roads with snowfall possibly as low as 100 metres in the area tomorrow

The Transport Agency is urging motorists to prepare for winter driving conditions with Metservice issuing a heavy snow watch in the regions.
Journey manager Tresca Forrester says contractors will be working hard to keep roads open and applying grit to remove ice.
She says road closures are possible.
Road snow warnings overnight and into Thursday apply to Lindis Pass, Lewis Pass, Haast Pass, the Dunedin to Waitati Highway, Crown Range Road, Arthurs Pass and Milford Road.
