The Internet's thought to be responsible for more awareness about the misdeeds of politicians

The Internet's thought to be responsible for more awareness about the misdeeds of politicians

Scandals have rocked Parliament recently, leading to three quitting politics in disgrace.

The latest to go is Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Iain Lees-Galloway, who was fired for a year-long affair with a woman who'd worked for him.

Former Labour and Act MP Richard Prebble says when he was Labour's party whip, one could deal with bad behaviour quietly and advise the person not to stand at the next election.

However, he says now anyone can publish things so they become public.
