A Christchurch couple has admitted stealing more than 1.4 million dollars from a dead parents' bank accounts

Claire Quirke was given authority to help with payments when her father was sick - and after his death in August, 2016.
A court summary of facts shows she and husband, Edward Quirke, made many unauthorised withdrawals from the account.
Claire's father, Robin Milligan, was a well known basketball referee and with wife, Shirley, was joint director of their radio business.
They are due to be sentenced in September.
